New Year New Shape

On Christmas Eve I delivered my 29th custom board to Surfed Out on Saunton Beach and then a bunch of family and friends went for a splash in the sea for our annual "Daily Bread Surfboards Cold Water Classic"  The surf was lousy but the fish and chips afterwards at Squires in Braunton were worth the trip.

Getting back into the workshop at the start of the New Year I am feeling like doing something different a bit radical.  So the next board, Amos, is going to be a hollow wooden shortboard with a brand new internal frame and built as light as I can make it.  In fact I am building it half expecting it to snap on it's first wave.

So watch this space for pics of the build over the next few weeks
